Andrew Ferrone Named New Elementary Principal

Argyle Central School District is pleased to welcome Andrew Ferrone as the new principal of the Elementary School. Mr. Ferrone brings eighteen years of educational experience, both in the classroom and in leadership positions at WSWHE BOCES, most recently as the Coordinator of Model Schools. His first day as principal will be July 1, 2026.
He knew he wanted to be a part of the Argyle School District when he visited last year with the BOCES STEAM bus.
"I had the opportunity to work with Argyle students and teachers, and the culture I witnessed that day stayed with me. Having grown up in a small town myself, I know the value of a close-knit community. It allows for the kind of deep, meaningful relationships that help students thrive. I knew immediately that this was a community I wanted to be a part of," he said.
Being involved in the life of the school is one of his main goals as he begins his new role.
"You will see me visiting classrooms, enjoying the lunchroom energy, and joining our community for after-school events. By being present in every facet of the school day, I hope to understand better how to support our students' success, ensuring they have the tools, encouragement, and environment they need to truly thrive." he said.
When it comes to advice for students, Mr. Ferrone keeps it simple.
"Be kind, work hard, and have fun! And don't forget to keep reading every day; I can't wait to hear about the stories you're discovering," he said. Mr. Ferrone's favorites are Shiloh and Where the Red Fern Grows.
When he isn't at school, he loves to spend time with his wife, three daughters, and their two beagles. He also enjoys writing, cheering for the NY Knicks, and getting outside whenever possible to stay active and enjoy nature.
"We are happy to have Mr. Ferrone here at Argyle. I am confident that our elementary school will continue to thrive under his leadership," said Superintendent Bennefield.
